Looks like the level 2 pass rate has really nosedived. Reason?????

They changed how they graded in some way in that year. There was a thread in the step 2 forum at some point in time. Not sure if they upped the passing level of just changed things in general, but people were pretty pissed off.

I've been told to fear the comlex level 2 by the DO 2012 class..but have also been told there is not a very good way to prepare for what is coming 🙄. I think it is just a sucky, vague test. I'm interested to see this year's passing %.

Im half tempted to take the USMLE step 2 early so allopathic programs can see my score and take the COMLEX step 2 late, because of it being a ****ty test that people cannot really prepare for.

I am terrified of COMLEX 2 bc I absolutely HATE OMM to the point that I cant seem to take it seriously anymore...ugh.

I was in a class that had the good fortune to have a schedule of taking each level just after "restandardization" took effect. While restandardization takes place every 3-4 years, the last reworking of the exam was particularly brutal. From the NBOME website schedule of restandardizations:

* COMLEX Level 1: Standard is being reviewed in early 2010, and will take effect May 2010.
* COMLEX Level 2-Cognitive Evaluation: Standard was reviewed in March 2009 and took effect June 2009.
* COMLEX Level 2-Performance Evaluation: Standard is being reviewed in early 2010 and will take effect July 2010.
* COMLEX Level 3: Standard was reviewed in September 2009 and take effect February 2010.

Pay attention in your clinicals. Read a review book through the year. I reviewed B&W in a few weekends before the exam and did fine.

I haven't heard of any of these sentiments about COMLEX 2 from the upperclassmen that have gone through my school so far. Can you guys elaborate more?
