comlex step 2 PE question

So, we will be asked to write progress notes in the PE. From my IM/OBGYN/Peds/Psych/Surgery rotation experiences so far , I do progress notes for hospitalized patients when I round on them. I do admit notes and discharge notes as well. I was not asked to do any type of notes in Family Medicine or Peds clinic setting. My question is- are the cases in PE like the hospital setting or a clinical setting where patients would just present with a condition or it can be a mix? I guess what I am trying to ask is - if you write a SOAP note in a clinic setting, is that considered a progress note?

they have a sample SOAP note on there and the structure is what you should aim for
