How was it?

The USMLE questions are far better written than our COMLEX ones.

Example:
(And I am not omitting any relevant information)
12 year old male comes to the ER with fever 104 and RLQ pain. He has abdominal tenderness and dullness to percussion on his R lower lung fields. What is the diagnosis?

Out of the 5 choices, you could argue for THREE of them and be ABSOLUTELY correct. So SO SO SO frustrating.

Well, I just need to pass. But it did blow donkey.

So what makes that any different than COMLEX 1? Your question sounds just like one I had last week! However, from what I hear everyone passes 3, not so with 1. Good luck!

I think we DID have that exact same question! But in ours they said "the obvious diagnosis is..." haha, what a piece of $hit exam!!

Hate to bear bad news....but not everyone passes Step III. Was bitching to the proctor after the exam about this horrible test and she told me there were those in the room that had already taken it 3 times and still didnt pass. She seemed to empathize and it was obvious shed heard my complaints from others before. obviously we're not stupid people, youd think theyd start to realize that maybe something is wrong with the fools that write the questions. But, I guess that would make sense and nothing else the exam does makes sense...why should they start now?

Quinn, any big subjects I should hit for this one? I was planning on doing my crush step III, B&W, NMS step III, and of course the HY OBGYN.


They still big on OB? Any major FP things I should focus on? Can't wait to get this piece of junk out of my life.
