ok so i need some clarification on level i breaks situation

as it stands, the 40 min lunch break is optional. you get 2 opportunities to take a break between 2 and 3 and blocks 6 and 7.

what happens if you finish a section early? do you start the next block immediately? do you lose out on ur break time, or does it get tacked on to ur supposed 40 min break time that doesn't count against u?

if you get done early it still offers you the regular break, but if you don't want to take it you don't have to. If you skip a break you lose that time...nothing extra tacked on to the lunch break.

ok thanks dr. mom!

and that holds true for the usmle too?
i thought if we got done with multiple sections early we could have more break time instead of just the 60 (Excluding tutorial) we start out with...

dood, do you really want to just hang out and take breaks all day? 1st break i took a 2 minute pee break, lunch was 20 mins, and skipped the last break. and when you finish a section, you have as long as you want to go over that section's questions, or you can finish it and move on (i always second guess myself and change right answers to the wrong answer when i go back over things). i started @ 8, done by 2 👍 (comlex)....we'll see about usmle, it's TOMORROW!! :scared:

Is each block of the comlex just like the usmle: 50 questions (1hr)?

Yup, but there is 1 more block. so 8 total.

Thanks for the advise. I'm still confused about the break schedule though....can you just take a 5-10 min break between each block (skipping lunch)? Also b/c everyones' finishin at different times, does that mean people are gettin up and down from their seats all around you? Isn't that mad distracting? 🙁

NERD ALERT!!!! haha....omg, i just remembered a stupid q that was on comlex.....some big long word that means hiccup...anyone know the word? i saw it and sort of recognized it, asked about what VSR would be present, i remembered it was diaphragmatic irritation, c3-5....but wtf. and "eructation" was on there in a one sentence question about gerd : JUST SAY BURP!!! sheeeeesh.

there are 8 sections w/ 50 q's each, and you only get 10 min breaks b/w sections 2 and 3 and 6 and 7, and lunch b/w 4 and 5. it makes sense when you're there and doin your thang, cuz the prompts come up on the screen when you're done w/ a section. and not tooooo distracting w/ the people, but i was in the corner. you're at a computer w/ "walls" around it, like a little cubicle, and at my center we had these big headphones we could wear to keep out the sound.

Thanks, it's all clear now...this is a stretch but should I just concentrate on FA with saverese and Q-bank questions my last 2 weeks and screw all that other book I spent a fortune on? Think it'll work with usmle as well?
