Anyone know how it might effect me if I simply finished off all the USMLE steps as a DO? I understand that there might be licensing issues that could vary from state to state.
Since I found out the answer, I'll share for those who are wondering.
If a state has two licensing boards (allo and osteo), that state will not recognize the DO applicant who completed the USMLE series for license. That means 14 states will not recognize it.
