I am having a difficult time with my school's committee. I keep being told my file is complete, only to be told later that I am missing items (I believe they are just losing them). I was told by my committee that they will not send the letters until late July, but if my transcripts are verified and everything else in the app is complete, then schools will still review my app and just wait for the letters.

Is this true? And how will my chances of of getting in somewhere be affected if everything is not to dental schools until August. I feel helpless since I already sumitted the app and took the DAT. All I am waiting for is letters and transcripts to be sent and verified.

I'm starting to think the whole committee thing was a bad idea...

Hmm man that sucks. I would bug them to hurry up and send it in ASAP.

Same type of thing at my school. It became a bigger hassle then being helpful and convenient. I ditched the Committee when I applied and just handled my letters separately and had no issues with it whatsoever. They work on their time and when you are freaking out trying to get everything in ASAP, it becomes annoying.
