Common interview days??

I was just curious if there was any certain time of the week that interviews are usually conducted? Like is it normally earlier in the week, or later in the week, or weekends or its it completely random any day of the week is fair game? I was just curious because I was thinking about trying to TA next semester in a lab, and if I am ever so lucky to be granted with any interviews, I wouldnt want to be cancelling on the lab too frequently (not that I would ever think twice about ever skipping an interview, I just dont want to get myself involved in something I cant be consistant with). Thanks!🙂

each and every school is different. some like to interview on Monday or Friday (NYU) while others interview in the middle of the week. My interviews have been on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.

as for the TA thing....just do it. it's easy to get someone to cover for you, if you return the favor. that was my experience.

I had 2 mondays, 1 wednesday, and 1 friday. Keep in mind that most schools give you options so you shouldn't have too many problems.

Just try not to have interviews during tests, most teachers are accomodating but a few at my school give 0's because interviews are not "emergencies." Know their policies.

Thanks for the help JB and chrono...I guess the odds of having multiple interviews + having them on the same day + being on the day of the lab I might TA are all pretty low and shouldnt keep me from TAing. As for tests and stuff, I guess I will just have to cross that bridge if/when the time comes.

I had an interview on everyday of the week except sunday. Some dates are given to you and some you have a choice. It all depends.
