So... I was doing the DAT Bootcamp GC exam, and it struck me that I don't know all the common polyatomic ions. One of the problem asked something about Sodium Chromate and I honestly don't know its molecular formula. Do I need to memorize all the polyatomic ions?

Yes. You must know all ions. Isaac Yankem did a great job of listing all the polyatomic iojs that you need to know.
