I wouldn't despair. The majority of derm programs don't contact candidates after interviews. I know of some programs who used to send emails but don't anymore, and have only heard of a handful of people getting phone calls.
Even despite these "positive" communications, people have still been surprised by the match results (i.e. didn't match where they were promised to over the phone, or didn't match at all despite getting positive feedback). Likewise, programs are surprised sometimes when they don't match the candidates who promised to rank them #1.
I think if you get some sort of communication, you should take it with a grain of salt... most of the time it doesn't guarantee you a residency spot. If you get none, don't freak out... most of us don't get any communication. I haven't heard of anyone getting negative feedback.
This is just my perspective/opinion from going through this process twice. There may be others who have had different experiences.
