Hello All!

I've been hearing that some schools absolutely do not except any science prereqs that were taken at community colleges, while others prefer those taken at universities, and very few schools are indifferent as long as the grades are descent and you prove yourself in the DAT of how much you learned.

The privately run, more pricey schools, tend to be OOS friendly and tend to care less about where the prereqs were taken. Public schools prefer most of the prereq credits to be from universites. But for the latter, if I don't get into the school in my state, it makes sense to apply to private schools OOS rather in OOS public schools since residents get preferential consideration.

With that said, of the OOS friendly schools, does anyone know where I can find a list of schools (like the one that itemizes OOS friendly/unfriendly schools) that are open to CC credits and those that pretty much won't even look at your application if most of prereqs were completed at a CC? If there are public schools (though, unlikely) that are also OOS friendly AND CC friendly, I'm all ears!

Here's the problem, with budget cuts, schools are offering less classes. I was told that undergrads have priority registry so the only way I can take prereqs at a university is to apply for post bac. There was a caveat: if the classes I wish to take just so happen to be a common class offered at most CC's, then the post bac application would likely be declined as it is very competitive and is reserved for special cases.

That's a bit of background on my dilemma. Hope someone can help!
