I was wondering what commute time is generally thought to be too long as an intern? I know this is obviously going to vary, but my hours as even a 3rd year will not be as much and certainly don't compare to 4th haha. My commute now is around 15 mins, but I'm probably going to end up with a longer commute for internship especially if I want a nice place in some of the cities I'm looking at. Is 30 or even 40 minutes totally ridiculous?

We just had a thread on this in general residency: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/threads/reasonable-commute-in-residency.1119722/

My commute as a 3rd/4th year is 35 minutes the fastest. Average is maybe 40-45 min. Bad is 1 hour or more.
