anyone is commuting from brooklyn to NYCOM? do u think if it is better to live around campus? how long it taked to drive?
thanx

Hi,

I recently responded to a similar question on this board. I am a second year at NYCOM and I live in Brooklyn, about 35 miles away from campus. In the mornings, it usually takes me about an hour. If I leave campus at 5:00, it can sometimes take as long as an hour and a half. At off-peak times, it can take as little as 40 minutes.

I know several people who commute from the city, but most live in the area surrounding the school.

Hope this helps.

Ive been commuting to that campus for the last 3 years, but to the undergraduate school. Its fine from brooklyn. If you go before traffic hits, you'll average 40-60 mins on the drive, depending where in brooklyn you live. It is doable, since if you study in school, and there is plently of space to do so in a quiet atmosphere, you can leave campus late and be home in about 30-40 min.

I justgraduated from NYCOM...i did the commute for my first 2 years...its doable but it is BRUTAL......
