Hi,
I have a question that I hope you guys can answer for me.
I'm a senior, graduating with a B.Sc. Hons. Computer Science. I'm planning on returning for a year and taking all of the prereqs for dentistry. I already have general chem, but I have to take everything else next year. Do admissions committees frown upon applicants that have only taken the minimal course requirements? Do applicants that haven't taken any upper-level bio and chem courses have a chance at getting accepted?

if you do well in the pre reqs and your current gpa is good, you will be fine. also you need a good dat score. (20+)

i know somebody who took only the bare minimum and got into a really good dental school.

I've always got the impression that Adcoms like to see non-science majors, so I think that as long as you finish the pre-reqs and get an AA around 20 (with a decent GPA), you'll be very competitive. Good Luck!
