UCSD told me today that they won't give me a FA letter until July or August. What's the deal with all this talk about comparing FA packages and using those to decide where to go to school?
If you have a 'package' from another school you are considering you can always contact the UCSD financial aid department and explain what you've got and if they can match/beat that. They might be able to tell you earlier.
