How substantial is waitlist movement for different schools? Which schools have great waitlist movement and which schools should we give up hope for? May 15 is so far away and it's still hard to get excited for the schools I've already been accepted when there remains so much uncertainty.

Last year's PreMed Allo School Specific Forums will give pretty good insights into waitlist movement for various schools.

Funny how for most admissions maybe less than 10 or 5 people will come off a waitlist. Why do some med schools take half their class off the waitlist when they could just send out a mass acceptance in like April or may if their intention might be to give all applicants the same consideration no matter what time they interviewed?
