Hello everyone,
I am hoping for some thoughts on three medical schools, Touro New York, COMP and LECOM. I know that LECOM and COMP are more established institutions whereas Touro NY is new. For students with a knowledge of Touro, does the fact that it is in Harlem or that it is a new school, put it at any sort of disadvantage in comparison to the others? Does Touro offer any rotational sites in Upstate New York or just in New York Proper (the boroughs only). Also, what is the curriculum like at these schools. I know LECOM has the different tracks but haven't been able to find much about the curriculm and grading schemes of Touro and COMP. Are they systems based curriculms? Is there any Case/Problem based learning component and early clinical opportunities? Finally, what is the approx comparison in terms of the cost of living in each of these cities (Erie, Pomona, New York)?
Thank you
