Compensation for Wags/ Rite Aid 2015

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Rite Aid, 2.8% last year, 1250$ bonus as staff pharmacist. Will report back this year with PIC details when available

What kind of raises do floaters get in their first year?

Walgreens Floaters and Staff pharmacists raise and bonus are based on performance review. You have to be exceeding expectation to get anything. I'm sure 95% of Walgreens floaters and staff pharmacists received zero raise or bonus last year and this year.

I am curious to see how much raises and bonuses were for Walgreens and Rite Aid this year....

Anyone care to share?

Walgreens fiscal year ends in September .. in my district staff pharmacists were eligible for up to $1000 if their store was meeting expectations and the staff was basically a good Rph in the retail sense and didn't get jacked over by district or a bad mgr.

Bonuses last year for wags rxm and store mgr were huge .. major carrot to get people buzzed about the new bonus structure .. for lowest tier stores with a no show rxm still getting a few thousand up to 50-60k for an all star high tier mgr.

This year the bonus "floor" is a lot lower .. the ceiling is a lot higher . But nobody knows what the hell is going to happen because of them moving all the targets around and with the merger and stuff.

This year the bonus "floor" is a lot lower .. if you screw things up or don't meet goals you are getting 10-20% payout.. that said the range this year for rxm is roughly $500-$50,000 .. they are making it more complicated and have a higher ceiling to improve outcomes supposedly, but most likely to prevent people from hitting all the targets .
I don't believe this is an accurate description of the WAG bonus structure.

Me neither and I have the document in front of me , and I just wrote the post lol !

I edited it .. but if you dig up FY2014 doc and FY2015 doc you'll find the spread has taken a gigantic ****ing leap.. you know when they write 5 pages on why the floor and ceiling are being moved they are trying to smokescreen that is for sure

I do known that receipt survey, engagement survey, non flu vaccinations, 90 days rx increases (non control), inventory control, and a few other contribute to RXM bonus at Wag. The lower threshold was 60% of potential bonus, lowered to 40% this year. But there's also a corporate multiplier that can increase or decrease bonus, but I'm sure that info is vague on purpose.

Staff Rph who got exceeds expectations got 1k and outstanding got 2k.

I only tech for WAGS, never RPh. I just want to say that my mentor has worked for them for over 15 years as a RPh and he said his salary is in the mid 120s. busy store, good RPh, also PIC. quite low as starting salary for new grads is almost the same

I just had my review for Walmart. I've been there as a grad intern/ floater for 6 months. I got 2% which worked out to be $1.16 - I was surprised because I figured I'd have to be there a year to get a raise.

There is a very large spread . I know an rxm personally who made 145 base + 15 bonus last year.

Your script volume sets your bonus range and your market conditions set the base range.

In a saturated highly desirable city, staff can start in the low to mid 50s per hour with pic being $5-10 more

Walgreens bonus is structured around tiers. I dont remember the exact numbers but tier 5 receive somewhere around 20k while tier 1 receive around 3k. It then goes by performance. If you don't meet your goals you will receive less. So if your script count decreases, manually order too much, don't get enough non-flu, surveys suck, etc you could receive half your bonus. If you exceed expectations, you could receive double.
