Hi guys, i have one year left of my undergrad and dont have the best grades (3.2 gpa) but am truly excited about the PA profession. I've lived in Colorado all my life and want to go to the PA program that's offered at the health sciences in Denver. From what i saw on their website, my gpa, for lack of a better word, sucks. I plan on getting better grades continually but with only one year left, it cant improve that much. I just signed up for classes to be a CNA and hopefully can do that part time along with school in the next year. I work part time doing data entry and i'm a research assistant for a botany professor at CU-Boulder. I volunteer at planned parenthood and the local community hospital, but its not much.
So, i've search all over the net for some good advice and see that there aren't as much stuff like there is for pre-meds. Anyone that can help me, please please please let me know what i can do? I'm 21, and don't have any real medical experience but will soon. My grades were terrible for the first 2 years of college (2.8) but have gotten 3.6 for the last 2 semesters. Does anyone know much else about the PA program at UCHSC besides whats on the website and what i can do to be a more competitive candidate in general? Thanks for all you help!!!
