What numbers (GPA/MCAT) do you need to be a good shot at getting into DO school specifically Nova?

That's kind of a loaded question as GPA and MCAT are each only one part of the pot. My guess though would be a minimum of 3.2 and 25 if you have a solid app elsewhere. 27 and a 3.5 would be mo betta. Tell us about ur numbers and ec's and we'll give you an honest opinion of your shot.

I'm gonna take this oppurtunity to throw up my numbers and get some feedback too, cause i'm a newbie:

Junior-University of Scranton
Took the April MCAT (22-27 range, keeping fingers crossed for better 😀 )
GPA: 3.04
Science: 2.98
Footnote: GPA is one it's way up!!
EC's: Health Professionals Organization Member (Recently elected Treasurer)
Scranton-Temple Residency Program--Primary Care Externship
Intramural Sports
Student Government-Programming Board
Volunteer Experience: Monmouth Medical Center Pediatrics Floor Volunteer
Moses Taylor Hospital-General Volunteer
Various on-campus volunteer events--e.g. Volleyball
for MS
Work: Emergency Room Scribe - 12 Hour shifts, work w/ doctors one-on-one
to complete thier charts during their shift. Contact with every patient,
nurses, and staff.
Extensive non-medical related work experience including the restaurant
business, and shipping.

Your EC's are great, your GPA is on the line. The deciding factor will be your MCATs - 22 to 27 is a wide range. If you get a 25 or over and apply widely you'll be fine.

GPA shouldn't be a problem. It's the MCAT that you want to do well on.

What's there to improve on? You got the GPA, the experience, the LOR (I'm assuming). Do well on the MCAT, interview well, and you should be golden. 👍
