My partner is freaking out about his app and has no idea where to apply. Without legitimate rankings it's hard to determine which schools offer the best education for the price.

His stats:
GPA: 3.77, magna cum laude
AA 25, TS 26, PA 21
Asian
California native

We've got limited funds so we don't want to apply to too many schools unnecessarily. Any advice on which schools we should include in the list? We'd love to stay in CA so UCSF and UCLA are definitely on there. We are also mindful of the outrageous cost of attendance. Is UOP worth applying to?

Sorry for being another one of "those" threads. I'm a med student and my partner's undergrad wasn't too helpful with predental advising so any help is greatly appreciated!

You have above average states, apply anywhere. You certainly have a chance at all the schools you mentioned

great stats!! your best bets are your state schools, which are the ones you are interested in, considering your partner will be considered in-state! if you're really short on money then just apply to state schools around your area, other schools that tend to accept OOS are mostly private, which would cost much more than your state schools!

Apply anywhere your heart desires 🙂 Best of luck.

By and large, ANY dental school is good. You're on the right track to be considering finances. Let that guide you.

IMO, unless your partner would really be okay with shouldering the debt, UoP isn't worth applying to. He has the stats to apply to only schools he would genuinely consider attending. I applied to UoP but ultimately decided not to attend my interview--and it was because of the cost of the school.

I'd shoot for 5-10 schools.
