I've been seriously considering these 2 specialties for quite some time now, but because of my mishaps on USMLE, I wonder which of these do I have a RELATIVELY better chance of matching...I am a Caribbean grad w/ a 182/75 on Step 1 and several failures on Step 2 CK...most recent attempt is pending. I would be happy with either specialty, and would like to concentrate my efforts on one of these, so my Q is which one is more realistic for me. Thanks.

this question could have been easily answered with a little research on these boards ...
psych is generally less competitive. somewhere on here someone posted stats of all the different specialties in last year's match, you might find that helpful for getting some perspective.

Anyone else? Especially those who have considered both specialties yourself? I agree that Neuro is probably a bit more competitive, yet it is difficult to compare stats as until this year Neuro was in the SF Match. Just wanted general impressions from people, personal experiences, etc. Thanks again.
