Everybody's application has been looked at at least once, and complete dates are now irrelevant. Please stop asking about them in the school-specifics and then despairing after someone receives an interview with a later complete date. 👍

Wow congrats man! Would you mind mentioning when you were you complete?

Meh... I have the same pet peeve. Not sure it bugs me enough to start a new thread about it though.

This is how I feel about 98% of the threads in pre-allo.

Edit: I was complete in July

What's your MCAT breakdown though? I want details.

16/14/15. J on writing because I used it for a nap.

Sent from my SGH-T999 using SDN Mobile

Do they accept post-interview/pre-interview Letters of Intent? I talked to the Admissions office and they said no, but I wanted to double check here to be sure.

I have an interview at UTSW, but I stay like 3 minutes from the school. Can someone give me some info on how I can board with a student host?

lol

5 star thread. will read to cashier through intercom at mcdonald's drive-thru. A+++++ fast shipping.

Does anyone have any tips for the interview? What was it like? I have zero clue what the interview feedback section is and I'm not going to look for it.

School specifics follow along these lines:

1. OMG OMG OMG ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!!!
2. Rejected. Doesn't matter, I have an interview at Harvard so I'm too good for this school anyway.
3. Does this school have enough sushi places nearby? There's no way I can get through med school without them.

Just saying that interview season on SDN tends to repeat itself.

Lol, a pretty fair assessment.

I just received an email from the school telling me to wait. What does this mean? I know someone else has already asked, but I need you all to specifically respond to me.

rejected pre-interview

+1

Probably cause my stats are too high and they don't think I'll come.

If I'm accepted but don't post it on SDN, was I ever even accepted?

If I show up to the white coat ceremony with a wrinkle in my shirt can they still reject me?

Some schools have people waiting in the Medical Admissions Office for last minute openings. Err on the side of caution. You don't want to give them any excuse.

The dean always interviews in a pink sweater. Can I interview in pink as well to show him my interest for the school?

Haha. 😀

My faculty interviewer was great and ended up giving me really helpful advice... I'm thinking of sending him a gift card as a sign of my gratitude. Is $20 appropriate? I don't want him to think less of me for not sending a big enough gift card. Would it be appropriate for me to send gift cards to the entire admissions committee? I was thinking some place generic like Best Buy, but I may want to play it safe and get them for the university book store.

Lol

If you some good interview practice just apply to McDonalds because that is exactly how every interview will be. 😀.

not srs

On a side note, it's kind of lame that we have to mention whether or not we are serious on these threads. But I have read enough people on here who obviously misunderstand everything that is said, so... I guess I should error on the side of caution.

Of course, if someone was "smart" enough to think I was serious, at least they might end up with a career at McDonalds. 🙂

Haha... Everyone knows 50$ is the minimum or they'll think you are too poor to make a huge donation to their program. We all know that's the only way people ever get into medical school. 😀

Wait is just a nice way of telling your parents to hurry up and write that donation check before we reject you.

😉

That's not all you'd be showing him interest in.

😉

Hahaha

Jas, you're really lacking in the 'funny' today.

Sorry,

It was just all that pent up sarcasm. I have been holding it back in the real threads when I think there is the slightest chance someone might be serious.

My interviewer mispronounced my name, and I corrected him. Have I completely ruined my chances?? 🙁

Sup bros. I was just accepted with a full-ride to Princeton School of Medicine. Just wanted to let all you mere mortals know that I'm withdrawing my acceptance to this meager, low-ranked university. Deuces.

Ah yes. Princeston SOM is so selective that they even select candidates who are able to submit the primary. Ones who are screened out of pre-primary are told that this school of medicine just doesn't exist.
