I studied for the OATs last year while teaching English overseas.
Throughout that time, I compiled a complete study package which enabled me to score in the 95th percentile on the OATs and be accepted to Waterloo for this fall. I felt completely prepared and scored between 350-390 on every section.
This package includes:
1. The OAT Destroyer (Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biology and Physics)
2. College Chemistry Review (Schaum's)
3. College Physics Review (Schaum's)
4. College Biology Review (Schaum's)
5. College Organic Chemistry Review (Schaum's)
6. Kaplan OAT 2007-2008 Edition (2 practice sets for each section and 2 full length exams)
7. Six self-made review question sheets (to memorize formulas and rules)
8. Two printed off full practice tests (from internet)
9. Two full sets of cue cards
- One with a summary of important rules/formulas for Chem, Organic Chem and Physics.
- The other solely for organic chem reactions (test yourself style- question on front, answer on back of each card).
I think a fair price for the entire package is 250$. I paid almost 200$ for the OAT Destroyer (with shipping), 40-50$ for the Kaplan, and 20$ each for the four review books. On top of that, I've included my own review sheets which took many hours to make and will be extremely helpful in your last week of study.
