Hey guys, I'm applying to pharmacy schools right now, and I know that applying early gives you a huge advantage. The problem is that I've only finished the first year of my school and I don't have anyone to write my LOR (seriously, my professors probably don't even know I exist).

The deadline for the school I want is in July, and I don't think I can get my LOR until December (This semester I'll try to get to know professors). Even without the LOR, will the school still review my application and can I still get that early application advantage?

Are you absolutely sure that the application can even be submitted sans LoR(s)?

I would imagine if you are trying to get in this coming August, then the application cycle for this year is already closed. Therefore, I don't understand why the deadline is in July when you have all year to submit it for class starting in 2010.

What type of class is this? Perhaps, you can approach or write your professor regarding the deadline.

If the DEADLINE for the school is in July, then on that day in July, everything must be received.

If thats your own deadline you set for yourself, then if you are using pharmcas and the school is rolling admissions you can send in your app, but I don't think you will be asked to interview until your application is complete.

The school will review what you have, but in my opinion, it would look weird for a student to send in an app, but not complete it until December. I could understand sending an app in and having a professor send in a LOR a month later, but to actually have to meet someone, then ask them to write a letter...I think I might wait.

I know everyone on this forum stresses early! early! early! but if you don't have a full application, I don't see the advantage. Someone who may situation similar to yours might be able to better comment, but that was my opinion.
