hi guys,

hypothetical question: if one were to get accepted to med school for September 2005 entry, is it okay for most schools to complete a missing pre-requisite (English) the summer before starting?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks again! 🙂

you can be accepted without completeing the pre-reqs, but your acceptance will be contingent on completion of the pre-reqs. just to be safe, i wouldn't wait until the summer before starting med school to take that last english requirement-- take it during the spring semester, get it out of the way, and don't let a silly thing like an english class get in the way of your acceptance.

Yeesh, I wouldn't do that unless there was absolutely no other way to get it done. For one thing, I am looking forward to having a couple of weeks off before I start med school. I can't imagine that you'll want to be in a summer session, especially knowing that a bad grade could jeopordize your admission.

Also, keep in mind that many med schools start much earlier in the summer than most universities -- you might not have time to complete a summer class.

Just suck it up and get the class done. It's just one english class. 🙂
