How are you supposed to know certain complex equilibrium answers?

For example:

Silver chloride is MOST soluble in which of the following solutions at 25C?

0.10 M HgNO3
Pure Water
AgNO3
NaCl

Now when i see this problem i instantly see okay AgNO3 and NaCl are common ions thus less soluble. So its up to Pure water and HgNO3. Now the answer in TBR says HgNO3 due to complex equilibria which i get if I write it out but How am i supposed to know that AgCl and HgNO3 are a type of complex equilibria solution?

or for that matter how am i supposed to know any type of complex equilibria probem if a problem just asks for most soluble? Is there a list i should know or something?

Memorize the solubility rules; if any of the products precipitate out of solution then more of the original salt will dissolve vs. water alone
