Hello Everyone,

So I just found out i failed COMLEX 2 CE, and I am stunned and distressed to say the least. I busted my ass to study but found a 100 point drop from my COMSAEs to what I actually got. I am not sure what happened.

Here is my dilemma now though and would like some advice.

I have 3 options:

Option 1: Continue my Audition Rotations (I have 3.5 weeks left in this EM rotation then have 2 weeks of neuro core) and take the test in Dec, with the score back in early January and still be eligible for Rank. That being said....I am not 100% sure my school will allow me this option and they may require me to take time off.
Options 2 and 3 are if I am required to take my 1 month of study time:

Option 2: Take my 1 month at the end of my EM audition, take the test in December, score back in Jan, however I will not graduate on time and will be slightly delayed. I would have to start residency a month late.

Option 3: Finish out all my auditions and take a month of in January and then take the test. I would have to withdraw from 2016 match. I would technically still finish in summer, but I would basically fill out my schedule with research and extra clinical rotations until Dec 2016, and just do the 2017 match.

Out of the 3 options listed which one do you feel is the best? My only worry is if I failed a 2nd time (determined not to let that happen mind you) in which case I would really be up a creek.

Anyways any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all for your time

Op, sorry to hear this. In regards to option 2, will you be able to graduate on time if you are allowed to take 2 weeks off instead of a full month? You definitely should take some time off to ensure you'll kill it on the 2nd attempt. I don't know how programs will feel about you starting late...probably not too happy. Delaying a year would be your last resort.
