I recently moved to Ohio and I am thinking of opening a compounding pharmacy. I’ve been thinking of specializing in veterinary compounding. I have experience compounding, but I do not know where to start in terms of marketing. I wanted to find out if there’s any demand from veterinarians, but I do not know how to approach them.at this point I do not have any meds to offer, therefore I am not sure if I can just walk in and ask to talk to a vet and ask them - do you guys need a demand in veterinary compounding? I am not sure they’ll talk to me at all.
I tried emailing local veterinarians and local veterinary association- no response. But from my experience, no one really answers such emails anyways
Any advices on how to get them talk to me?
Any compounding pharmacists here - how did you guys start, what were the very first steps for you?
