I’ve heard people joke about what they would do if it happened to them, but oh my god… it really happened. I finished up my final block, reviewed the few questions that I had marked, and decided that I was finally done. I clicked “end section,” and then clicked the “are you sure you want to end this section”…. The screen when grey for a while…. A program data box came up that said “launching”…. It went for a while…. It went for a while longer…. It went for even longer, then BAM! “XXX was forced to close, any data you might have been working on and not saved may be lost. Click to send an error report.”

After I regained consciousness, I trampled over some rather nice people to get to the testing center staff. They said “oh, it’s just the survey, It happens from time to time. You should be fine.” I did my best not to hyperventilate, but they seemed to think everything would be ok. I called the NBOME, but they’ve already closed for today, so I’ll be bugging them tomorrow. I hope to god my test doesn’t get voided because of this.

Wow...that stinks! You always hear about it happening to someone somewhere far away and then BAM! Did you take it in Vegas?

Yeah, I didn't think this actually happened to anyone and that it was just a cruel rumor that floated around. I was indeed at everyone's favorite prometric site in las vegas. Fortunately the worst case is that I would have to retake it for free, and I've got the time if it came to that. However I think I could have done without a "practice" comlex 🙄

Oh BTW, thanks for the heads up on COMBANK. That thing was golden! I had a few questions on my exam that came right out of the qbank.

No problem...I'm glad I found out about it...You'll be fine.

Thanks for all the PM's of support! Got a call late yesterday from the NBOME that they "got everything needed to grade." Whew! 😀
