The campus is wireless. The med school buildings had patchy coverage at best last year, but with the remodel finishing up in Oct., they might be adding more coverage. We use internet resources for seeing the powerpoint lectures online in color (better than seeing the pictures from lecture on the B/W handouts), for web atlases (histology slides), and research for writing papers.
I use computers at home. I never found a need to bring my laptop to school unless I wanted to try to keep up with the transcription for noteservice during my assigned lecture (saves time when you have to type it up later that night since you will have a lot of the stuff down already). Otherwise, there are plenty of computer labs at school.
It is also nice to get Cox Cable modem at home to download the big powerpoint files. Let me know if you would like to get a referal for this - could save us both some $$$.
If you have other questions about Creighton, let me know.
One more thing: I was at the student run book room today. PLEASE DONT BUY BOOKS ONLINE until you visit the bookroom later this month - we have a ton of books in the book room, and you can get them for WAY cheaper there than you can online.
