Just took COMSAE, got 375. Still got 7 weeks to the exam. How indicative is this to the real thing? Is a 200 point score jump even possible? Really bummed right now, would need some advice

Currently doing COMBANK+UWORLD+FA+PATHOMA,

Havent completed FA first pass yet. 20% of UWORLD done 45% Avg, 15% Combank done 55% moving average

I think it's possible to improve a lot. I've heard from a lot of people that the COMSAE under-predicted because it's given quite early during a person's study schedule.

There's a thread on it somewhere where a few people said it was spot on, but others felt that it drastically underestimated how you would do.

I also took the COMSAE with 7 weeks left to study, got a 357. I have been doing pathoma, first-aid (still have to do pharm, GI, MSK, Endo), uworld and combank.
Uworld 45% done 48% avg. (past 3 blocks have been 58%, 54% and 54%) and Combank 15% done with a 45% avg. I'm hoping for the exact same swing in points about 200. But I have heard it is underestimated, the amounts vary but 50 seems to be around the underestimation. Trying to stay calm, but it helps to see that others are in the same boat.

yeah, I'm bummed..... anyone want to share their experience, or what they got when they first started studying, to what they got on the actual test?

Im aiming for 550~ doesn't seem too likely at this point

Everyone is a bit shaken right now. I ended up with a similar score yesterday as well... but look at it as a baseline - only place to go from here is UP.
From the other COMSAE D thread it seems like this one is way harder than previous versions.

From COMSAE D to B my score jumped 100 points exactly. From B to C my score jumped another 57 points. So a 157 point difference between my initial COMSAE and my third one. About 8 weeks between them. Hopefully, as is the trend, the COMSAEs will under predict my actual score and I'll land about 175-200 points higher than the initial COMSAE. I test June 11th and I'll try to remember to post back here.

You have to remember that your trend from COMSAE forward is very dependent on where you were when you started. Just like a failing score on COMSAE is relative - if Person A in a class fails it and has only done 50 QBank questions then no surprise. If Person B in the class fails and has done 2,000.... that might be a problem. If you have seven weeks remaining and you haven't done tremendous review at that moment in time it's nothing more than a baseline/diagnostic score. A foundation to build from going forward.

Best of luck!

the COMSAE D is a poor indication of how you will do on your COMLEX. I'm sure you noticed that it focused on only a few topics covered in FA. Friends who have taken A-C described the COMSAEs as each focusing on a separate quartile of information covered in FA.

Which COMSAE best predicts the actual experience? Or are all of them poor indictators and just useful in terms of telling you which sections you are weak in.

Has anyone that didn't do as well ask they liked on COMSAE D taken any of the other forms? I didn't do so hot on COMSAE D but I still have 6 weeks to study so I'm hoping I can improve quite a bit.

Alright I usually don't post comments but since im in the same boat ima say something. I got 480 on the form D almost 2 months ago and i thought form D was easier than i thought and easier than comquest/combank questions. people say that combank is easy, well, sure, there are quite a few 1st order questions but so does comsae and the hard ones on combank and comquest really made me think. im taking my in a wk so far i have above 70% in both combank and comsae and honestly, you will never be able to FULLY prepare for comsae based on doing the Qs, i think the knowledge bank is more crucial and (you guys may not want to hear this) the real thing this year is harder. idk if its b/c the merge or what, based on what i heard, it's harder than what they thought, ill post once i finish mine.
