alright here's the situation:

you're in the interview and it's going along and you're really well prepared and answering questions easily and fluently blah blah.....when all of a sudden the interviewer seems a bit surprised that you know all of the questions (which by the way are nothing out of the ordinary and were along the lines of why do you wanna be a dentist and why did you choose this school and so on) and calls you "a ringer"

is this a goodthing - like she was way impressed and you should take it as a compliment
OR
a bad thing - like she is sort of accusing you of almost cheating in that you knew all the questions ahead of time and the situation is unfair

i would really appreciate all your comments on this matter! thanks in advance

Different people would interprete stuff differently. The best person to ask is THE interviewer, the next best person is YOURSELF. I really dont know how somebody else would be able to say exactly what somebody else wanted to say, when the interpreter was not even present during the conversation. You were there, what do YOU think? 🙂

I had a compliment like that before during a job interview. The next day, I received a call that I got the job and when is the best time for me to start. Basically, dental schools and certain jobs require people to maintain their cool in a stressful situation. I know, I will be more nervous for the dental school interview because my life's dream is on the line, but if you can maintain your cool and state your answers coherently. Then, you are awesome and pretty much set.

Give it a rest.

Why try to torture yourself?

Just approach this whole application process as a piece of sh it.

Keep in mind that they already know that you have prepared for your interview, and so did many thousand others. Maybe it was a complement, as if she is comparing your to the ring sound in a jeapordy game 🙂 i.e. you were quick and confident with your responses. gl and keep your hopes up.
