concise & easy to read biochem & mol bio book?

i just dont feel i have the solid foundation in biochem..

are HY series the way to go? i looked at BRS biochem and it was way to dense for me..

I like HY bio chem, cell & molecular bio, and histo. I used these books and classnotes and did fine for class. But I also used the brs not to read but to do the questions from. Hopefully hy + FA well be enough for boards too.
