I'm a pre-physical therapy student at NIU. I'm graduating in a total of three years and I'm excited to say so far I've been accepted into 2 of the 7 schools I've applied to! I have been accepted into Concordia in Wisconsin and Midwestern in Downers Grove. I've been waitlisted by UIC and UW Milwaukee :/ I have an interview at Rosalind Franklin coming up, I've already had my NIU interview, and I don't hear from Carroll in Waukesha, WI until February! I just wanted to know if anyone else has been accepted into Concordia or Midwestern! And if you have any opinions about the two programs! Thanks 🙂

:eyebrow: do you mean your finishing undergrad early? What does that have to do with anything?

I'm in a very similar situation. I am accepted at Concordia, waitlisted at UIC + UW Milwaukee, and decided not to go to an interview at Midwestern. Its looking as though I will go to Concordia. I doubt I can offer much information that you don't know, but I like Concordia's program and know one person who graduated from it a few years ago and loved it.

What are your stats??

While I am not too familiar with Midwestern or their program, I have heard nothing but great things about Concordia. I know people in the program and who have graduated from the program and they all have great things to say about the program. Small class size, good professors, and the whole campus is connected by hallways and tunnels so no going outside to get anywhere which is a perk in Wisconsin winters 🙂

Wow! That's kind of crazy how similar our situations are! I didn't do the ridiculous $1000 payment for Midwestern because who has that kind of money. I'm still waiting on NIU, Carroll, and Rosalind Franklin!

It's comforting to know that you've only heard great things! On the tour they had current students saying how great it is, but obviously they choose the students that are going to be very positive. I'm looking forward to all of this!!!

My stats:

My GPA at NIU (3.856) is different than my GPA on PTCAS so I'll just do my PTCAS one 🙂
Total GPA: 3.82
Combined science and math: 3.62
PT prerequisites: 3.75

My GRE scores are nothing impressive. 152 verbal and 157 math. 4.5 writing.

I also did 157 observation hours!

I have also been accepted to CUW this cycles and definitely will be attending. I have already submitted both payments and am very excited for May 26th! I too made it out of undergrad under 4 years (3.5) if that matters..

Initially, I applied ED and general to Madison but was not admitted. Before the campus visit/interview I actually had CUW on the back burner and was really hoping to get into either Madison, LaCrosse, of Missoula. However, I fell in love with the program after meeting the faculty and learning about the program and school. I even declined an interview at Missoula Montana (1/18) - which would have been sick as I love to ski/mtn bike - because I am so pumped for CUW.

I think one aspects I liked so much about CUW is the 26 person class size. I had this same experience in my undergrad program where I thinks its a definite advantage to be able to get to know classmates and profs very well. Being that its a small program, they also can't afford to lose anyone so they'll do everything in they can to assist/help you in learning the material and succeed when taking the Boards.

I hope you plan on going there and if you have any questions for me feel free to ask!

there was a second payment?! When is it due?! I paid the first $500 but I haven't gotten a letter about the second payment :s

I know! The small class size is so great! They just seem like they care a lot about their students. I didn't put down the money for Midwestern. I got into NIU as well but I would rather go to Concordia!

mrleroyfashion123: NO its not due yet! In the last email from the administrator she gave the contact information to take care of the second payment so I just went ahead and paid it. I know I'm going there so might as well!
