I am a week away from getting my step 2 CS results, and am very worried. Does anyone of the residents have stories of a horrible performance, but still passed? I'm trying to calm myself down as best as I can this upcoming week. Thanks for any replies I get, and thanks for the support lately.

Would it really make you feel better to know that most people pass and then find out you failed?

In the long run? no it wouldn't. In the short run before my results come in, it might make me feel better. It's gonna be a rough week for me. I'm particularly worried because they raised the passing score this year.

Really? Do they want more people to fail or something? That test is ridiculous and we all know it.

You're going to pass, if you don't it will be because of a fluke. It's not the end of the world. You will retake it and pass it. No one will really care that much.

You'll be fine. Everyone gets nervous before the results. And almost everyone passes

I felt way under prepared for Step 2CK (took it 2 weeks after surgery clerkship). Thought I would do badly. I actually ended up doing better on Step 2 than Step 1. I'd say many people ended up that way.
Hope that boosts your confidence.

oh wow realized you were talking about CS. I was thinking that was a possibility while i wrote previous message. Anyway, same thing applies, you think you don't pass but you do easily.
