Does anyone feel like they don't know what the heck is going on when they take practice tests or do problems? 80% of the time, I guess my way into answers and about 60% of the time I get them right..

Most of the time its on minutia in FA that i obviously didn't spend the time to memorize..

Does this go away by test day with enough practice problems? Anyone care to comment on confidence when asking questions?

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you are experiencing, but I tend to be able to narrow out choices, then just "guess" and have been getting 60-70% on QBank. Since I'm not 100% confident & feel like I'm guessing a lot, I really doubtful that this accurately reflects my ability - I'm afraid that something's wrong, that I'm somehow just guessing well this time and that come exam day all my real inadequacies/lack of knowledge will show.

Consequently, I'm thinking about taking an NBME (haven't taken one yet) to see how that goes - hoping it won't crush what little confidence I have....

I just really don't feel anywhere close to where I need to be with 4 weeks to go....

What you said about sums up how I feel. I usually have no idea what they are trying to get at and only arrive to the right answer by luck I feel... but I hear most people come out of that test feeling destroyed..

I'm halfway into my studying (3 of 6 weeks total), and I am getting a lot of this too. I've been scoring 65-75% on UWorld so far. I like to attribute some of it to INTUITION! 😀
