FA 2014 says beta blockers raised EDV (preload) on page 299. But FA 2015 says beta blockers have no effects or decrease EDV on page 305.

I thought beta blockers raised preload by slowing the HR and giving the heart more time to dilate and by decreasing contractility. Which one is correct?

Thanks!

It does make sense that BB will lower EDV by the mechanism you mention, but at the same time I suppose they could actually decrease EDV by upregulating (over time) B1 receptors (their main mechanism when used in HF).

I'm not really sure, but I think it could be errata or not depending on how you look at it.
