Different schools want different letters. I've had 3 science ones and one from a dentist will be going out soon too. Yet some schools want 2 science and one non science. What do you do for them and other such conflicts?

Have AADSAS send the 3 science + 1 dentist to all and then whatever schools want that additional other letter send them what they want too?

The one thats non-science, can that come from someone you did volunteer work for, or does it have to come from a faculty member that doesn't teach science?

I had 2 science (biology), 1 non-science, and 1 dentist for my 4 aadsas letters, but I needed one from a chem prof. for Maryland. I called them, and they told me just have the chem prof. send it directly to them. I'm sure your schools will work with you, especially since this the 1st year (i think) for the 4 letter limit.

okay so just figure out whcih ones don't match and then send them that extra letter even if they end up with 5? i guess that's the best because for those few schools that want 1 nonscience professor letter it makes more send for them to get 5 then to ask my dentist to send 10 letters...right?
because my other 3 science professor letters have already been sent via addsas.

I think this is actually a much more common problem than people let on. I called 4 schools about this problem and they all said that its no big deal at all. I'm sure AADSAS will have to up their limit in the near future since this problem is not going to go away. If its just a couple schools, explain the situation to the letter writter and supply them with stamped envelopes. I also think its very important to pay for delivery confirmation or registered mail. If its a lot of schools, there are several "letter collecting services" you can use. Some schools like them, others don't and you do have to pay for the service. Just an idea.

Good luck

Which schools require the non-science professor?

I'm wondering if I might've missed something out...

Thanks!
