Confused about AADSAS and TMDSAS

So I live in Texas and I'm very confused about AADSAS. Applications open June 1st, but you can work on them before they're officially open? I think I read some post on here saying they just won't send until then. So you can go ahead and send transcripts to the schools you're applying to before then? I'm taking the DAT around April so that I can hopefully have my scores sent off early enough for the beginning of the TMDSAS application cycle, but is TMDSAS the same way? Can you start on your application before they open in May? The pre-professional health career adviser was extremely stupid and didn't even know how I could register for the DAT. Anyone familiar with both application processes and willing to give me a quick run down so I can prepare a mental schedule?

AADSAS opens June 1st.
TMDSAS opens May 1st.

You can't work on them until those days. When that day comes, you can log on and fill out the applications. You can't send your transcripts before then because you need the transcript matching form from the application. So moral of the story, you can't do anything application wise until those days. What you could do is ask your letter of recommendation writers to start writing their letters around Feb, March, April so they'll be ready in time.

You send your transcripts directly to TMDSAS and AADSAS, not the individual schools. AADSAS/TMDSAS then verify the grades that you put into your application. Verification takes like 2-4 weeks. And then your app gets sent out to the schools after that. Generally if you want to be early, complete your application for AADSAS sometime in June and TMDSAS sometime in May. That's plenty early for the cycle.

I believe there's a thread on SDN where someone dumped the format of the application and you can start basically filling it out in MS Word if you want.
