So I just received an interview invite pre-secondary to KCUMB. Does anyone know if they are really strict about the genetics requirement? I have not taken genetics and I do not think that I will have the opportunity to take it this year. Also, if my committee letter includes a science faculty recommendation do you think that i need an additional letter? Thanks guys...

Congratulations on the pre secondary interview. When's the big day? I got an invitation pre secondary, too. My interview is on the 28th.

To answer your question, their website says the following:

"If an applicant wishes to request KCUMB's Biochemistry or Genetics prerequisites be fulfilled by substituting undergraduate course work, please forward one of the following: A faculty letter detailing course content, a copy of course description from the school catalog, or a copy of the actual course syllabus. The method providing the most detail will produce the most accurate assessment. Applicants will be notified of decisions upon review of course content. For Biochemistry, the information should indicate the applicant has studied intermediary metabolism or specifically lipid metabolism. For Genetics, the information submitted should indicate the course covered Mendelian Genetics/Inheritance or hereditary factors."
