Incoming M1 here and i've seen most people recommend that i listen to recorded lectures at my own pace and make Anki cards as i go, supplementing with boards and beyond to understand concepts.

Im confused about what to do 8-12 when those lectures are going on. The previous day's anki? Do i watch the boards/pathoma videos first or my lectures first? How do i determine which zanki cards are relevant to the class material?

Any help is appreciated thanks

As an M1, I’d just go to lecture at first and get settled in. You’ll probably find after a while that you prefer the recorded lectures and that reading textbooks is a waste of time. I wouldn’t worry about board prep material and outside resources at first, just get settled in. And most M1’s don’t need pathoma especially in a basic intro block.

You can watch lectures at a one day delay, so watching yesterday's lectures today. You can also watch lectures as soon as they're posted - but it can be highly variable when they're posted from day to day so if you like routine, you should probably do the former.

I wouldn't recommend making your own Anki decks. Use a pre-made one like Bros. It'll save you time and give you extra time to focus on other things like extra studying or qbanks.

Depending on your school you may have access to lectures from previous years. If so you can watch those and go from there as there are rarely significant changes year to year.
