Hello, everyone. I've been lurking the forums for many months now but have never posted until now. (Thanks for all the great info posted on the forum!)

Anyway, I feel very stressed and confused because I do not have a plan anymore. I am a senior English major at UCLA with a GPA slowly inching toward 3.0. My first two years of college were horrible-- I won't go into detail but just know that my grades were low. Now, I am getting all A's, but of course, it's going to be a while before my GPA becomes acceptable.

I had originally planned to apply to CSULA as a second degree student but with all the budget cuts, the school no longer accepts students who hold a bachelor degree this year. I will now take science classes after I graduate in June at community colleges such as SMC or PCC. But I do want to apply to a Postbac or masters program after taking all the basic prereqs. However, these programs seem to either require you to have graduated with a science degree or to have taken upper division science courses. The problem with this is that I can take the basic science at the community colleges, but I don't see any of the upper division courses they require on the class schedules for SMC and PCC (unless I did not look correctly). Oh, and staying at UCLA for another year is not possible. Please advise me! 😕
