Hi everyone,
I'm confused with a problem. Can someone please explain this to me?

What is the normality of 1M solution of H2SO4 if you titrate it with NaOH?
Answer is 2

And...

What is the normality of H2SO4 when you precipitae 1M H2SO4 with CaCl2
Answer is 1

Why is the answer to the second problem 1 normality instead of 2 normality.

The 2 questions looks the same to me, is it not?

Appreciate anyone helping! Thanks!

In the first, OH (from NaOH) can take on 1 proton.

In the second, Cl2 (from CaCl2) can each take on 1 proton which makes it able to take double.
I am not 100% though, hope this helps.
