Confusing MCAT Data? TBR see if u can solve

Looking at Q15.

In this data table, looking at columns q1 and q2, if the image is -3.33cm away from the lens vs 5cm away from the lens, isn’t the image at 5 cm bigger than the image at -3.33 cm since it’s farther from the lens?

Thus 40 cm vs -10 cm for q2, trial C image at 40 cm will be larger than trial D image at -10cm.

Then how can it be stated that moving the object from its position in trial C to D makes the final image larger if that’s not true for P2 and 12?

The physics behind two lenses is much more involved in terms of deriving formulas, if I recall correctly. I think this question maybe relies on knowledge of the magnification factor
