Hi everyone,

Congrats on your acceptances to MSUCOM! I am currently a 2nd year and am loving every minute of it even though I'm working harder than I ever have in my entire life 🙂 Those of you who have decided to attend the school will certainly not regret it. The program is fantastic!

I just wanted to reply to the post that questioned whether or not the MDs and DOs rotated together. During the first year, students from both schools take the basic sciences together but clinical skills, etc. are done separately. However, during the 2nd year, the MDs do problem-based learning while the DOs do systems-based learning. Our clinical rotations during years 3 and 4 are not done together, however, there are a couple of hospitals that do accept students from both schools. COM tries to send its students to hospitals with a predominately osteopathic staff so that our education in the philosophy is furthered.

If you have any other questions, let me know. Otherwise, enjoy undergrad and get ready to shake it like a Polaroid picture 🙂
