Hypothetical situations:
A licensed/registered pharmacy technician applies for a job, fails the pre-employment drug test. She isn't hired of course. But will this have any effect on her licensure? Does the employer have the option (or even legal requirement) to report the failed drug test to the Board of Pharmacy?
How about an employed pharmacy technician who fails a random drug test from his employer? Does the employer report it to the Board of Pharmacy? License suspended?
How about a pharmacist who fails an employer's random drug test? Reported or just fired? Loss of license?
(Let's say THC, not prescription drugs / anything indicating theft.)

Likely varies from state to state, but I have been searching the Internet and found no clear answers. Any information about any state would be appreciated.

I doubt most employers care enough to tell the board unless a board member works there.

I would imagine that there should be some confidentiality with even an employment drug test. That being said... Don't Do Drugs! (and it won't be a problem)

I always wonder about it when these questions show up. They always sound like the ones that start with "So, I have this friend..."
