From 2010 to 2020, the number of licensed physicians who graduated from international medical schools increased by 24%. "About one-quarter(24.7%) of active physicians in 2020 were international medical graduates (IMGs)," according to the Association of American Medical Colleges. "This includes U.S. citizens who studied abroad."
