So, if you know you have an interview at a school quite
some distance away from home, and you have applied
to other schools close to where you have your interview,
do you think its ok to contact those schools that haven't
given you an interview decision yet? I'd like to see if they
could possibly schedule an interview (if I get one) around
the same time so that I could save some money on travel.

Anyone have any experience with this? Comments, Suggestions?

This is a very common question, and the answer seems to be that it is ok to ask. I know many people that called and were able to schedule a few interviews back to back. However, if a school has not come to a decision about your interview status then do not expect them to accomidate you. So basically, there is nothing wrong with calling a school and telling them that you are going to be in town on such and such date and were wondering if they were planning to invite you for an interview so you could schedule it for around the same time. Hope this helps.
