I was just studying gchem when I came across many constant of which I knew some and I dont know/never seen the others..

Here are my Q's:
Do we need to know them all/memorized?
IF yes, which ones are the important ones?

also, How are we going to calculate things with all that huge exponential numbers? We all used calculators in gchem? how is this gonna work without calculator?

Can someone clarify this Q's for me please.

Thanks in advance..

R = .08
E = E0 - .06/n logQ
half-life = .7/k
6E23

I think this will do for the test. Well I'll find out this Friday.

anybody else?

here are some off the top of my head.

faraday's constant (electrochem)

the dif R constants for the gas law (thermo)

Plank's constant (de broglies eqn)

Speed of light (debroglie)

just know the basic constants
you'll see them as you do practice questions. just write them down somewhere so that you can memorize them

Say we memorize them all.. how are we gonna calculate all this huge exponential #'s? we all used Calculators back in gchem..

thanks for your responses btw

Didn't have to know a single constant on my test. One of my questions gave me avagadro's number.
