The past two checkups I've had at the eye doctor has not solved my problem with glasses. If i put on my contacts I can see perfectly fine. If I put on my glasses, my left eye does not see as good as my right eye. The problem is not my glasses because i've had them changed.

Is my eye doctor not good at what he does?

It could be the onset of keratoconus, or some other corneal refraction error that your contacts correct and your glasses don't.

I am not a doctor, so take my SWAG with a HUGE grain of salt, and consult someone who is...

your contacts are at the plane of the corneal, while your glasses are not. perhaps the vertex distance is accountable for the difference in VA? what is your Rx? that would be helpful.

there are many reasons this could be happening. many people (myself included) see better with contacts than glasses. Most likely not your docs fault at all.
